•  We have a thorough selection and recruitment procedure, focussing on safe and fair recruitment practices. 

•  Staff are members of The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.  This helps ensure people who are unsuitable to work with children and protected adults cannot do regulated roles.​

• Staff are registered with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).  Being registered with the SSSC means our staff are part of a professional workforce like teachers and nurses. Over 175,000 people who care for our most vulnerable people are on the Register. People are protected because staff follow the SSSC Codes of Practice in their daily work.

• Staff are qualified to SVQ Health & Social Care SCQF level 6 (or working towards this qualification).

• We train and develop our staff to ensure they are up to date with current practice. Some of the training we provide includes: Dementia Skilled Practice, Nutrition & Hydration, Moving & Assisting, Medication Administration, Adult Support & Protection, Trauma Informed Practice, First Aid Awareness, Positive behaviour Support, Infection Prevention & Control  ​​​​.
